Nestled in the beautiful Red Hill, the Ever After Effect team curates and styles heartfelt weddings of their couples. For the showcase of one of their beautiful venues - The Greek Orthodox Church, I had the pleasure of bringing to life a brief that carries a Grecian essence and nods to elements of the space. This ceremony and reception space is serene and holds a sacred charm, surrounded by olive trees, which also serve as a beautiful backdrop under candlelight. The team wanted something light, fun, and playful. Inspiration images featured the ancient pillars, so I felt like this would be a motif the team definitely wanted included, which became a fun but still elegant illustrative moment. The rest was pared-back, simply printed on lightly textured paper and cut in not quite a perfect oval but an organic shape reminiscent of ancient European pottery. For the placecards, we have leaves which I’ve pressed and dried, then handwritten to emphasise that organic feel, finished off with a white ribbon.
